An annual Christmas tradition in my family is making homemade raviolis. This is my favorite tradition!--so we made some today.

Honey Twists!

Every year as far as I can remember, we (grandkids) would head to my grandparents house during the holiday season and make Honey Twists (Scalini). I wanted to do this with my family...so today was the day.

It may be the last day for a long...long...time. Those were a lot of work! Thanks to my hubby and daughter for helping out!

The Christmas season is here!

The Christmas season is here!! We love this time of year....decorating our home and bringing in the true spirit of Christmas---the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, all of our holiday decorations are in storage, so after 2.5 years I decided to make a flannel tree and some stockings for our family (thanks to my good friend, Megan for all of her help with this!).

Merry Christmas!!

Our sweet Seni Rae! We love you!

November Adventures

We had a busy month starting with a trip to Switzerland. We love this place!
Then we went to Paris to meet up with Matt's cousin Dave and his wife Rochelle.

Afterward, we decided to hit one of our favorites....Disneyland-Paris
Seneca was so excited to drive on autopia and then pretend she was taking the sword out of the stone.
She was tall enough to go on Thunder Mountain, which may I add is awesome!!!...way better than the one in Anaheim. She was a bit terrified, but she did it!

October Adventures

In October we celebrated the "Fete de la Courge" (squash festival) and Halloween! Seneca dressed up as a beautiful bride! She was lovely!

Mamie's Birthday

For my grandma's birthday, my dad came in to town and surprised her before heading to Germany for business. This is her reaction...so cute!

Took her out to dinner to celebrate.

Good times!

Road Trip August 2012

In August we decided to finally head to Hungary. We also thought it would be fun to check out places on the way there and back.

Our first stay was in Lausanne, Switzerland where we visited the Gruyeres (cheese) factory as well as visiting the famous hilltop castle.
the delicious cheese factory! yummy!

The hilltop castle

Grabbing some lunch and having a little fun as well!

This is absolutely the most beautiful pass-Jaunpass-I have ever seen. We done this twice since we've lived in France.
Our next stop was in Interlaken, Switzerland where we visited two small villages of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald.

After this we passed through the small country of Liechtenstein, on our way to spend the night in Innerbraz, Austria....great B&B here! After this....on our way to Salzburg, we grabbed lunch in Innsbruck, Austria.
Salzburg! The HILLS ARE ALIVE! ah!!!---SO beautiful! We stayed here a couple of days visiting this beautiful town.

Then we headed towards Vienna, Austria.

Then to Hungary for a few days...

Quick visit to Szeged where Matt served his mission. We got a chance to visit with a few families he met while serving.

Finally Venice, Italy....

After 12 days of traveling...we were pooped! It was a wonderful trip. I love any opportunity to spend time with Matt and Seneca.

C'est tout!

Our sweet Seni Rae!

We cannot believe it has been four years since we received our precious gift of love! We are continually grateful for Allison, our birth mother, who made some tough decisions that allowed us to have a child. We love Allison and her family very much. We are so happy that they are still a part of our family and know that they always will be.~Thank you!

To celebrate her fourth birthday she asked for a "Princess/Prince" party. It was so much fun!

The day of her birthday!
She received a cute house that she loves to sleep in every night!

Her "princess/prince" birthday party! Making crowns, and pining the crown on Seneca.

Birthday cake, pinata, and the boys decorating shields to fight the "dragon"!

The girls
The party goers!
We love you very much, Seni Rae! We love and feel honored you are a part of our family.
