Joyeux Noel!

We would like to take a moment and wish you all a Merry Christmas! We apologize for not sending cards again this year, but finances are tight as we begin to finish our last four months of business school! So, next year, we promise to send out fun cards!

This year has been a great, yet busy year for us. We started out with the adoption, sealing and blessing of our dear, Seneca! We cannot say enough about how blessed we are to have her be a part of our family! We absolutely love her! She is 16 months old and growing very fast! She loves to dance, play the piano, recorder, read books, and talk either through making sounds, small words or sign language. She also loves to climb and run away from mom...he...he...she is very independent! :)

Matt was blessed with amazing grades last year ending up in the top 10% of his class (he is going to be mad I said this). He fulfilled a great internship with Johnson & Johnson over the summer in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. While working here our family was able to see so much of our country---New Jersey, New York, DC/MD, Michigan (attended Seneca's tribal pow-wow), Wisconsin, Minnesota (visited Matt's cousin), South Dakota (Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse), and Wyoming   (Yellowstone). Most recently, Matt finished his 3rd semester of school. This was a very busy semester for him as he was taking 21 units of school work, vigorously looking for employment, holding down a part-time job while being a husband and father! During his last semester of school, he hopes to have a lighter load so that he can focus his energy on finding employment. One thing Matt is also doing is he will be running in a 1/2 marathon in March! I think it's in Moab, Utah....I am so proud of him!

As for me....I am totally enjoying every minute I get to spend with Seneca! She is so much fun to be around! She loves making cookies with mommy...or should I say eating cookie dough! She is definitely my girl! Besides spending time with Seneca, I teach yoga 2-3 days a week at the local recreation center! I am thoroughly enjoying this time--I love to teach! I love the clientele and just being able to exercise has been a huge bonus for me mentally and physically. I'm also involved in the MBA spouses association planning educational activities and events (i.e., parenting class, quilting, book club, cooking class, etc.). This is something I also love to do! I've learned so much being a part of this organization...I'm making a quilt....reading books each month for book club and much much more! The best; however, is meeting these amazing women who totally know everything! I love it!

As for our family we have decided to go through the adoption process again! We are very excited! Once we are approved, we will be sure to let you all know! Also, please keep us in your prayers as we try to determine where the Lord would have us serve when Matt finishes school!

We love you all and are so grateful for wonderful family members and friends! Please enjoy this time of year as we reflect on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

With all of our love,

Matt, Mesia & Seneca

I am a slacker!

Well, it has been a bit busy...blah...blah...blah...aren't we all! That is just a great adage for being too lazy to post anything in almost three months...ha! Anyway, a lot has gone on...we've had a great past few months and here are pictures and words to share!
In this picture, I took Seneca to a pumpkin patch...the place was a little run down so needless to say, the only exciting event to capture on camera was her playing on the playground.
Our girl LOVES to swing!
We had some great family bonding time with my dad's side of the family....

Dad and Seni hiking While Matt had mid-terms at school, Seni and I escaped to California for a brief visit. I'm sorry I was not able to visit everyone...I promise next time we visit...we will make it happen.
We went to Sea World....

Love the water-logged diaper....Uncle Andre and Aunt Pega Joon snuggling with Seni in the morning...
While we were in California we were able to spend some time with Seneca's birth mother Allison and her daughter Emma.

Got to love this one
After our brief visit to California...Matt and I went on a HOT date to Las Vegas for the U2 concert! This was AMAZING!!

We had general admission tickets and we were second row from the cat-walk....so close!
Here is a better shot...I wish he'd pull me up on stage...I was right there! :) Then Halloween quickly came and we had THE most adorable DUCK you have ever seen! Quack...Quack!
This is us Trick-or-Treating! She loves candy!
Just a fun video of Seneca chasing a cat....

Our family is doing very well! Matt spends a lot of time at school working hard on his studies as well as doing his best to find a job. He has had many interviews so hopefully something will come up soon.

As for me, I LOVE being a mom! Seneca and I go to the park, eat, play, laugh, snuggle, wrestle, read, sing, play in water... you name it we are doing it! In addition to this, I am the Education Committee Chair for the MBA Spouses Association. Our committee hosts about three activities a month so that keeps me pretty busy working with my committee on executing some fun educational events (book club, quilting, parenting class, marital relations class, cooking class, etc.). To keep me sane and physically agile, I teach Yoga 3 days a week. So Life is GREAT!

We Love Seneca SO MUCH! She is such a blessing in our life! We absolutely LOVE the joy she brings to our family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Please take care.

Seneca is learning how to make all sorts of sounds. One of her favorites is a fish. So we decided to go with a Fish theme for her party. I made her a fish cake and...

Here is a better shot of her cake.
