Seni-isms

There is not a day that goes by that we reflect on how blessed we are to have our little Seneca! I have to giggle as we watch her develop and exercise her independence! She is too funny! Here are the latest happenings with our sweet little one!

Seneca LOVES being outside! Especially when it's raining or snowing! She LOVES to eat SNOW!

Where is Seneca?

Oh there she is! She loves making cookie dough with mom! And, running into Papa's office to hide from me!
One Saturday we were looking for Matt's phone...could not find it anywhere...Well papa suggested looking in the trash as Seneca loves throwing things away! And, yes...we found it!
 So funny!
Seneca likes to lean back and say "whoa"!
On Thursdays we head to "Jump On It"! She is so daring! She loves to go down slides and jump on trampolines!!

The rest of the pictures are documenting our fun trip to Idaho to see cousins! We loved it!
Seni and Anna (Seni is ready for a nap)
Getting snuggles from her cousin James!
Fun pics at the park with the cousins!
Seneca shopping at the Discovery Science Museum. She really enjoyed this part of the museum. You can tell how fast she was pushing this cart! ha ha!
She had fun on this pulley!
Seneca was not in the mood to take these pictures!

Sewing Accomplishments!

A few years back Matt bought me a nice sewing machine...well, it didn't get much use until these past few months. Here are some of my sewing accomplishments! I'm so proud of them as I am not a sewer.

This first picture is a BYU Frienship quilt I made through the MBA Spouses Association! I didn't make one last year, but since my committee headed up this activity this year, I thought Id' try and give it a shot! Thanks to those expert sewers I was able to accomplish this huge project!

This next project was initiated by my sister-in-law, Karin. She always has fun projects! Anyway, her sister-in-law was making these cute skirts over the Christmas holiday and Karin and I joined in on the fun! This too was a huge accomplishment as I've never made anything like it.
My last sewing project is an Easter dress for Seneca. My cousin Alicia made one for her daughter and it was so cute, I had to try and make one too. It turned out pretty well!!

I can't decide if I like the ribbon belt....mmmm...not sure!
That's it for projects...time to pack it up!

Approved for ADOPTION #2

Hello all!
Yes, it's that time again....and we are VERY excited and anxious to have another little spirit join our family! Plus, Seneca wants to be a big sister.

One strong suggestion we've received from our caseworker and a number of our friends who've adopted is to get the word out to as many people as possible.  Adoption these days is very "open" (meaning the birth mother has a very large say in which family her baby goes to)--so as strange and awkward as it is, we're encouraged to 'market' ourselves to as many people as possible, as the more who know we're looking, the more likely/quicker we might find a good match for our family.

If you become aware of birth parents looking to place their child in a loving home, we would appreciate help in recommending us to them.  If they are willing to consider us as adoptive parents, please have them:

1. view our profile at www.itsaboutlove.org . Click on "View Adopting Family Profiles", search by name: Matt and Mesia (Utah) or Profile ID# 24063349
2. contact us directly at mattandmesia@yahoo.com . Or;
3. contact our case worker, Stefanie Sparks, at LDS Family Services,
801-216-8000.
--I apologize for the email blast, we're just doing what we can to get the word out!  Thank you for taking a minute to read this--hope all's well with each of you.
