Our family took a four day weekend to visit family and explore the DC and Maryland area. Here are some fun pics....
Early Saturday morning we headed to DC to meet up with my cousin Lisa and her husband Scott.

We had a great time visiting my cousin Lisa and her husband Scott. They live in downtown DC in a very cute neighborhood! We had some yummy Cuban food and hit the Eastern Market...This was awesome!! Thank you!

On our way to Maryland Saturday evening we saw the DC Mormon Temple from the freeway.

Picture of the office building Matt's dad worked at when he was with IBM.
On Sunday we drove around....
The next few pictures are one of the reasons we named our Daughter "Seneca"

So neat!

The street Matt used to live on when he lived in
Maryland.

His old home.

On Monday before heading back to Philadelphia we thought we head to DC again and check out some museums. The first was the National Museum of the American Indian. This was a fantastic museum!

Seneca is from the Little Traverse Bay Band of
Odawa Indians. This band is located in Harbor Springs
Michigan. We saw some information about the
Anishinaabe community originating in Canada. The
language her tribe speaks is
Anishinaabemowin so, we know this information is closely related to her.

These pictures are from the Museum of Natural History....very cool!

While heading back to our car we passed a fountain where we cooled off!
